The Rotary Club of New Malden has swung golf clubs and bought precious items from a raffle all in a bid to raise money for our community neuro gym.
In total, this wonderful bunch managed to raise £1,500 which was presented to the neuro rehab team on Wednesday 20 September.
Darren Beales, Community Neuro Lead said: “We're very grateful to the New Malden Rotary Club for this donation. They're keen to support local organisations who can put back the money raised into the community.”
The team will now ask neuro gym attendees how they would like to reinvest the money, for example new weights or cardiovascular machines. The team will also make a wish list of items they believe are needed.
Over the last year, approximately £30,000 has been raised for the Kingston Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team. These funds will be used by the service to purchase rehabilitation equipment for people with neurological conditions, in order to help maintain their functional ability or improve their recovery. The monies raised have been provided through donations, community neuro gym entrance fees and bereavement donations.
