Your Healthcare provides a range of podiatry (foot-related) services to people who are registered with a Kingston GP.

The podiatry service effectively manages the foot and ankle of adults and children, by assessment, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions affecting the lower limb.

This includes preventative, palliative and corrective care to aid in maintaining tissue viability, foot health and to improve patient mobility.

The services provided include:

  • Foot protection team – This provides a service that meets the need of moderate and high risk patients with diabetes.
  • Nail assessment and nail surgery – treatment for ingrowing toe nails under local anaesthesia.
  • Biomechanical assessment and gait analysis – patients with musculoskeletal problems in their feet or lower limbs.
  • Prescription and manufacturing of orthoses - functional and accommodative.
  • Lower limb exercise prescription and home exercise plans with a focus on evidence based strength and conditioning.
  • Routine clinics - These provide maintenance foot care to patients with medical problems such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, peripheral vascular disease, diabetes, coronary heart disease, rheumatoid / inflammatory diseases.  Patients who are Immunosuppressive or have a neuropathic condition, physical, disability, mental disability or learning disability.
  • Foot health promotion and self care advice.
  • Domiciliary service – for patients who are house bound living at home or in a residential or nursing homes.
  • Training is provided for carers in nursing or residential homes.

 Please note: The podiatry service is not able to provide simple toe nail cutting, where there are no underlying medical risk factors.

Referral process:

  • Patients need to be referred to this service by their GP or other health care professional.
  • Patients must be registered to a Kingston CCG GP.
  • This service is open to children and adults.
  • Consultation is by appointment only.

Surbiton Health Centre

There are 70 parking spaces for use by patients with appointments. A number-plate checking system is in place to prevent car park misuse and to ensure that patients can park for their health visit when they need to. You will therefore need to enter your vehicle registration number when you check in for your appointment, so please ensure that you have this ready to enter.
